1960s actress is probably more well known for her murder and her marriage to the notorious Roman Polanski. Her best known film work is probably for Valley of the Dolls, although she was a semi-regular on The Beverly Hillbillies for a couple of years. Supposedly, she was originally cast as the blonde daughter on Petticoat Junction but the part was re-cast after photos of Sharon were printed in Playboy.

I have to admit that I was torn about making this post. While I have posted some ladies who are no longer with us, none of them met as grisly a demise as Sharon.

What does everyone think? Is this one vintage beauty that I should have steered away from?

That's a tough question you're asking. On the one hand, these are some wonderful photos, and on the other, I really did hesitate before clicking on this post, because even seeing her name I can't help thinking about that horrible story. But I guess I think it's better that you did post them and we can admire just how beautiful she really was.

After the google, I see what you are referring to happened over
a decade B4 I was on the planet, as Im sure its the same for many
here. I think Limelighters look forward to all of your vintage posts

I'm going to cry ignorance as I have no idea what her or what happened to her. So that's not influencing my judgement at all.

Its weird, in some of those photo's she looks fantastic (As do her feet) then in others she looks awful.

IMHO, she's not for me.
